Christopher T. Cappo is the president of Cappo Electrical Marketing Incorporated, (CEMI) a sales and marketing service for electrical manufacturers. Cappo began this current role in June 2007 when CEMI was created to serve the Louisiana and Mississippi Region.
Cappo began his leadership career in 1995 when he joined General Electric and was appointed Branch Manager of GE Supply-Baton Rouge & Lafayette. While in that role he was responsible for core growth and operational improvement. In 1998, he became the manager of North Texas for GE Supply where he had responsibility for multiple branches across northern Texas. In 2002, Cappo was promoted to GE Supply corporate where he served as Marketing Manager for lighting products in Shelton, CT. There he was an integral member of the corporate marketing team. In 2004, Cappo joined GE Capital, GE’s largest “growth engine,” as VP-Business Development for GE Capital Solutions, an asset based lending company. In 2005, he became the VP-GM of North and South America for Terex Crushing and Screening based in Louisville, KY.
Previously, Cappo began his career in the electrical industry in 1978; he worked for Lambert Electric in Metairie, LA. In 1992, he entered into the Summers Electric Manager’s Trainee Program, and in 1993 he joined CED Baton Rouge as an outside salesperson.
Cappo was born in Baton Rouge, LA. He attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University.
